#UNSC | The Conflicts in South Sudan and the lack of tact from the Committee
[By Felipe Mateus Carvalho]
The South Sudan received weapons, ammunition and aircraft from the United Nations Security Council's (UNSC) other countries, which generated a heated discussion in the committee.
The Republic of South Sudan has requested help in fighting against the rebels on this session and, alongside with that, an AFRICANEWS.en article stated that the north-african country was supplied with weapons, ammunition and aircraft, lawfully exported from the European Union, the United States of America, and China.
Although delegates recognized that these facts could engrave the South Sudan already grave situation, it was not clear how this Council could reach an effective solution in only 3 remaining sessions, taking into account that this topic involves situations that are really hard to accomplish, such as peacekeeping, food and hybrid crisis, human rights, and humanitarian aid.
At the end of the session, it was not possible to visualize a solution to the unsolved crises on the UNSC. The CNN believes that problems will only be solved if delegates realize the necessity to put their propositions in action
