Since 1960, Brasilia is the capital of Brazil. Built to be the home of the 3 powers, Brasília had as the architect of its architecture and urbanization Lúcio Costa, as well as home to numerous monuments designed by Oscar Niemeyer. In addition, the federal capital also hosts 127 embassies, our current Palace of Itamaraty and the University of Brasília, pioneer in the course of International Relations. Renowned for its architectural beauties, Brasilia was listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Located in the center of the country, the city has a beautiful sky, full of clouds and a stunning blue.
This same sky at the end of the day enchants us with an unparalleled sunset that inspired the official monument of 22nd AMUN. Among the most interesting attractions in Brasilia, we have the Esplanada dos Ministérios, Praça dos Três Poderes, Paranoá Lake, National Museum, TV Tower and many other sights. We can mention as more common activities among the inhabitants and tourists of the cities: to go to the City Park, to admire the sunset in the Hermitage Don Bosco, to go to Cine Drive-In and to attend nightclubs like: Another Calaf, Pink Elephant and others.
Our venue in this edition is the Aliança Francesa, a non-profit institution whose central objective is the diffusion of French culture and language. The Aliança Francesa promotes the teaching of the French language, as well as conducts francophone cultural activities. The historical building had its architectural project elaborated by Oscar Niemeyer and its landscaping conceptualized by Burle Marx.
In a cozy environment, the school also counts with a beautiful garden and a cafe with a food hall, besides being easy to access. The venue are located in the South Wing, with easy access to public transportation, either bus or subway (nearest subway station: 108 South Station). In addition, we have close and affordable commerce, from restaurants to pharmacies and markets.
