AMUN, the Americas Model United Nations, was the first Model UN conference to be established in Brazil, hosted by the Universidade de Brasília. The aim of this educational project is to disseminate among its participants the Purposes and Principles of the United Nations, so as to help them develop a global-citizenship conscience and greater tolerance towards different cultures, as well as to make them understand the importance of actively taking part in the process of building a more harmonious international society.
