AMUN registration step-by-step

The first step to participating in the 12th AMUN is to choose a head delegate, the person who will be in charge of registration and who will represent the whole delegation before AMUN. Delegations must necessarily range from 1 (one) to 9 (nine) delegates.

By the time the registration process starts (May 15th), a form will be made available at AMUN’s website. It is the duty of the head delegate to properly fill out the personal data form on behalf of his/her delegation.

Therefore, he/she must insert all the data required, such as name, e-mail, address, phone number, institution, and number of delegates in the delegation. No changes will be allowed concerning the login, the password, and the number of delegates in the delegation.

After filling out the form, the head delegate is supposed to pick up 10 (ten) options of countries (or combination of countries) the delegation would like to represent. The country list providing the number of representatives of each country can be accessed by clicking HERE.

It is also important to highlight that the number of representatives of the country (or combination of countries) selected in the form must equal the number of delegates in the delegation. Therefore the Head Delegate must choose a country (or combination of countries) whose number of representatives (provided by the country list) equals the number of delegates in its delegation.

Once the form is submitted, head delegates will be sent a confirmation e-mail with all the data registered in AMUN’s database. Afterwards, the staff will contact each head delegate in order to notify him/her of the country assigned to his/her delegation and of the payment proceedings.

Changes on country assignments may possibly take place pending on delegations giving-up in any phase of the process or on difficulties to designate all delegations to available countries. For this reason, delegations not allotted in the first round of country assignments will be kept registered in an official waiting list.

AMUN fees are non-refundable. That being said, delegates must not do bank deposit until the AMUN staff informs the head delegate of the payment process.

Finally, it is necessary to clear up that delegations wishing to compete to best delegation awards must (i) consist of over 3 (4-9) representatives; and (ii) attend over 3 (4-7) different committees.
